Founders Story: How APM Apparel Went From an Idea to a Reality

What does it look like when God breathes life into an idea? That’s the story behind APM Apparel, a Christian brand with a unique mission—infusing faith, discipleship, and technology. As the Founder & CEO of APM Apparel, I can tell you firsthand, the road was anything but easy, but it was flawless because God had His hand in every step.

The vision started with a simple but bold idea: create clothing that not only looks good but serves a greater purpose—spreading the gospel and making disciples. But there was a problem. How does someone with little technical or engineering experience bring this to life? That’s where God showed up. I’ve always had a knack for business, technical and engineering, and though I didn’t realize it at first, God had placed the business, technical and engineering talents I needed inside me from birth.

As a Gen X’er, preacher’s kid, and prodigal daughter, I did a full 180-degree turn back to The Word after wandering in the world for far too long. My heart’s cry became not just to know God more deeply, but to help others do the same. I realized that making disciples doesn’t have to be complicated—so why not make it easy?

APM Apparel does just that, embedding QR codes and NFC technology directly into our garments. With just a scan or tap, anyone wearing our clothing can connect instantly to scriptures, teachings, and resources that can help them grow in their walk with Christ.

God's Provision Through the Journey

But let’s be real—the gurus out there who make entrepreneurship sound easy aren’t telling the full story. The truth is, without God, I would have never gotten this off the ground. Early on, we didn’t have the finances or the network of people who shared the vision. It felt like I was walking blind, and I cried out to God for direction.

And, as always, He provided. God brought not just one but three born-again believers into this vision with me. Two of which became essential partners who shared the passion for discipleship and excellence. And when finances were tight—and believe me, they were—God sent a born-again investor who believed in what we were building and helped fund the mission. It’s true what they say: Where God guides, He provides.

Our Mission is His Mission

At APM Apparel, our mission is the same as the one Jesus gave His disciples: to go out into all the world and make disciples. As it says in Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV), “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’” Also 1 Corinthians 9:19-33 NKJV), "For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;  and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law;  to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law;  to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you."

This is more than a business—it’s a ministry. Each piece of apparel we produce is a tool to advance the Kingdom of God. Every QR code or NFC chip embedded in our garments is an opportunity for someone to encounter Jesus in their daily life. We’re here to make disciples, and we’re making it as simple and accessible as possible.
